This wireless card offers a 54 Mbps data rate with 2.4 GHz frequency. The 802.11g standard operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band similar to 802.11b, but provides a throughput up to 54 Mbps by using a different radio technology in order to boost overall bandwidth. This PC card offers peer-to-peer connection via desktop ethernet LAN/WAN connection.
It is also backward compatible with devices on 802.11b standard and can easily connect to routers or access points on the 802.11b or 802.11g standard. The card is user-friendly, easy to setup, and offers security protection with industry standard WEP (Wired-Equivalency Privacy) 64 bit or 128 bit encryption.
