The 14" Long Windshield Pedestal is designed for use with vehicles such as trucks and vans in which the windshield is quite far back from the front of the dash. The suction on this pedestal is very strong and has a suggested weight capacity of up to 20 lbs. This pedestal installs without tools and can easily be transferred from vehicle to vehicle. The circular adhesive disc included allows you to mount to hard surfaces other than your windshield such as the car's dash or console. The AP012 adapter plate shown in the picture coverts the T-Tab pattern (used on XM radios) to the 4 hole AMPS pattern used on Sirius Satellite Radio receivers

All of the Arkon Sat-Mounts include a special 4 hole AMPS adapter plate that converts the T-Tab pedestal to the universal 4-hole pattern found on the back of the Sirius Satellite Radio receivers.
