This FCB camera has been replaced with the FCB-IX47C (which has identical specs) and features a 1/4 type CCD featuring Sony's "next generation" Super HAD™ technology - the Sony technology that greatly improves sensitivity while reducing smear compared to previous CCD technologies. The FCB-IX47A also incorporates a new DSP system with software enhancements that provide improvements in the quality of slow shutter and digital zoom compared to previous FCB models. The new FCB-IX47A block camera is similar to the popular FCB-IX45A camera, but is equipped with some additional features such as slow shutter, field memory and freeze mode. These additional features make the FCB-IX47A block camera ideal for low vision document stands.
