One component of a complete solution that, when paired with a transmitter (sold separately), conquers USB length limits. This solution extends the signal of a USB device to a host computer up to 150 feet, enabling you to place your USB projector, interactive whiteboard, camera, printer, web cam, hub or other USB device exactly where you want it! Our USB extender dongle is powerful yet simple, with no drivers to install or special software required. It's also compatible with any computer that supports USB.

The overall plug-and-play solution consists of this wall plate receiver, and your choice of a compatible transmitter that is sold separately: the Decora®-compatible wall plate (#29344), the dongle (#29348) or the keystone insert (#29349) that fits Cables To Go RapidRun® Cables To Go or other standard keystones. Customize the configuration to your specific needs! This versatility is ideal for applications where you need flexibility at your computer/source side.

The complete solution is connected via a standard Cat5, Cat5E, or Cat6 UTP cable (not included) that provides easy installation. Because the USB extender dongle is bus-powered, no external power source is required. Compliant with USB specification 1.1.

Input: One USB Type B Male
Output: One RJ45 Female

Please Note: The power demands of devices such as electronic whiteboards, external drives and USB hubs, may require the use of external power for proper operation. Please consult with your device manual or manufacturer for details. During installation, do not connect the transmitter to the PC until all other connections in the system have been made. The other connections in this system would include the Cat5e/6 cable between the transmitter and receiver, a USB hub placed at the receiver, an interactive whiteboard, or any other USB device that would be connected to the receiver. Connecting the transmitter to the computer without first making other connections may result in damage to the Superbooster.
